Where it all began…
Our founder and managing director Paul Cox set up Auto Refurb Northampton in 2010 to complement his already thriving and successful company, Paul Cox Panel and Paint Ltd – a large body shop used by fleet owners and insurance companies.
Recognising a clear gap in the market for smaller car body and paintwork repairs, Paul had a vision to create a specialist minor accident repair centre fully equipped with state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly machinery – Auto Refurb Northampton was born.
A true family-run business with traditional values
Unlike mobile SMART bodywork providers, we provide high quality, cost-effective and convenient car body and paintwork repairs from our heat-controlled body shop and spray booths, allowing for a more comprehensive service and better, almost invisible fixes.
Having sold Paul Cox Panel and Paint Ltd to Apollo Repair Group in 2023, Paul now focuses entirely on Auto Refurb Northampton, alongside his sons Jordan and Corey.
We are a true family-run business with decades of collective experience, and the team take great satisfaction in delivering exceptional personalised customer care in a friendly, welcoming environment. Nothing is ever too much trouble.

Expert paintwork for any item
Our extraordinary paintwork skills are not just restricted to cars. We can bring any item back to life, as long as it fits in our spray booths!
We have been known to respray office furniture, computers, aerials and antennas, ducting, trunking, machinery, interior and exterior doors and UPVC windows, conservatories, household or commercial radiators and even cladding.
If it is made of metal wood, fibreglass and or glass, we are almost certainly able to spray paint it.
We are open five days a week from 8.00 AM – 6:00 PM and we offer same day or next day service so unlike other repair centres.
